AFTER NADIA KHODOSSIEVITCH LÉGER (RUSSIA-FRANCE/ 1904-1982) Suprematism, circa 1970 Wool Aubusson tapestry, signed 'H. X. LÉGER' and with the monogram 'Gb' of the weaver Gisèle Brivet in Aubusson. On the reverse, two bolducs: one numbered 'ex 1/6' and the second with the title, dimensions and weaver's markings 'ATELIER GISÈLE BRIVET - AUBUSSON - EXEMPLAIR 1/6 - Matricule no. 563'. Produced around 1970 in an edition of six numbered copies. 170 x 140 cm. Provenance : Mr D, acquired from Nadia Léger in the 1970s. Mr D. was a friend of Nadia Léger, who gave him several works by her and Fernand Léger. Then by descent to the current owner.
