François ARNAL (1924–2012) Set of 6 ‘Antoine Dubois’ chairs, with a tubular metal frame and a backrest featuring a central panel; 4 of the chairs have faux fur seats and 2 have woollen fabric seats. Model designed around 1972. Dimensions: 90 x 44 x 45 cm. (Some traces of rust) Also included: A round table with a white marble top veined with grey, resting on a three-part stainless steel base Diameter: 120 cm. Height: 75 cm. (Scuffs, marks and restoration work on the top) François Arnal (1924–2012) was a French painter and designer, a distinctive figure in the artistic scene of the second half of the 20th century. Initially influenced by abstraction, he developed a free and experimental body of work, blending painting, sculpture and objects.
