Description
A lacquer Suzuri-bako (writing set) decorated on the lid, in hira maki-e, takamaki-e and kirikane in gold and silver lacquer with pavilions and a torii among cherry trees; on the rim, cherry trees; inside, a weeping willow, bamboo, a hedge and birds pecking berries on a rock. It includes a bronze mizu-hire with butterfly decoration, a sumibasami and a suzuri, and two brushes (reported) in a drawer with two compartments and a nashi-ji base. Damage, wear and tear.
