Albert LEBOURG (1849-1928) Seaside at Honfleur, 1893 Oil on canvas, signed and dated lower left. Annotated "n° 11 Lebourg", titled and dated on a label on the back. Height 47 cm; Width: 77 cm This painting was executed during the two weeks at the end of September 1893 when the artist was staying at the Hôtel de la Terre Sainte in Honfleur. He wrote to his friend Roux "I had a very grey sky, in the style of Boudin, a marvel. There was nothing to say, it was perfect, but what a kaleidoscope! We would like to thank François Lespinasse for kindly confirming the authenticity of this work. A certificate of authenticity will be given to the buyer.
