A beautiful crystallised ammonite in cross-section. Cleoniceras besairiei. L. 16 cm. Approx. 840 g (420 g × 2). 110 million years old. Specimen carefully sawn and polished to reveal the internal arrangement of the chambers filled with golden calcite crystals. Very meticulous polishing, beautiful crystallisation. A fine fossil, rare in this quality. Albian, Lower Cretaceous. Mahajanga, Madagascar.
