GREAT GREECE. Handless terracotta pelike with a black glaze, decorated on one side with the profile of a woman with curly hair gathered into a bun, and with palmettes on the other side. 4th–3rd century BC. Height 20 cm. Broken and re-glued, with restoration work.
Provenance: Collection of a private collector in Dijon, assembled in the mid-1970s with the assistance of Mr Laporte, a customs expert.
