CANOSA. Demeter antefix. A terracotta figure depicted standing with a swaying gait, wearing a traditional headdress. 4th–3rd century BC. On a marble plinth bearing a plaque with the inscription ‘P. Large collection’. Height: 15.5 cm excluding the plinth. Chips to the plinth. Provenance: Collection of a private collector in Dijon, assembled in the mid-1970s with the assistance of Mr Laporte, a customs expert.
