CRISTALLERIE DU CREUSOT. ‘Water glass’ set in cut crystal featuring twisted ribs in the shape of pointed leaves in relief, extending from the lower rim and cut into flat bands alternating with uncut leaves. Comprising: a tray (D.22.5 cm), a carafe (H.22.5 cm), a sugar bowl (H.19 cm) and a glass (H.9 cm). 19th century. A small chip to the rim of the glass. An example of a “water glass” set can be seen on page 62 of the book *La Manufacture de Cristaux du Creusot 1786–1832* by Viviane Quartarone, published by Les Nouvelles Editions du Creusot.
