PAIR OF SALT CELLARS in 925 silver and blue-tinted glass bowls from the Louis XVI period, with openwork rims depicting children holding garlands of fruit, surmounting empty compartments (unadorned). Paris date letter hallmark 1785, fine workmanship, parrot’s head countermark, unidentifiable silversmith’s mark, partially legible. The two salt spoons in 950 silver, with a numbered hallmark, are attached. Paris 1st hallmark and medium guarantee, recorded between 1819 and 1838; Harleux silversmith’s mark featuring a hammer. Net weight (excluding the glass bowls): 76.97g net.
