Painter and lithographer, pupil of Cabanel and Falguière, began his career in 1881 at the Salon with a portrait and a genre painting, La Cigale et la Fourmi (The Cicada and the Ant). Subsequently, he produced numerous lithographs of popular scenes, episodes from the 1914-1918 war, and studies of women and children.
