Sabre of the Hundred Swiss of King Louis XVIII’s Military House, 1814 model, with a copper-coloured brass hilt featuring a thick guard with a rounded branch extending into a curved quillon shaped like a button, identical to the design of the Year IX flintlocks, reinforcement at the crossguard between the oval, shuttle-shaped side guards, the front of which is flanked by a flaming grenade against a radiating background. The scabbard has a short tail shaped like melon ribs. The handle is of finely checkered ebony; the sabre is numbered II 85 and has never been cleaned. Blade length 70 cm, total length 85 cm
