A polychrome porcelain and gilded bronze clock depicting a romantic scene in the 18th-century style, featuring a seated young woman holding a fan and a dandy in a floral-patterned suit.
The enamelled dial, signed ‘Leroy Paris’, with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes, is supported by a patinated metal shrub adorned with polychrome porcelain roses.
The whole rests on a sculpted gilded bronze base with openwork rocaille decoration.
