RIMBAUD (Arthur). *Les Stupra*, sonnets. Paris, Privately printed [Albert Messein], 1871 [1923]. An 8vo booklet of 10 folios, Jansenist fawn morocco, decorated spine, wide inner border of fawn morocco set with five gilt fillets, blue moiré endpapers and linings, gilt head, untrimmed, cover, slipcase (G. Dubois d’Enghien). First edition of Rimbaud’s ‘three obscene sonnets’, including the famous ‘Sonnet du trou du cul’. Reconstructed by Verlaine and Delahaye in 1883, they were not printed until 1923 in the Surrealist journal *Littérature* and in this booklet, published under the fictitious date of 1871 in a limited edition of just 175 numbered copies.
