Large 8vo, wine-coloured morocco leather, Art Nouveau mosaic decoration in the frame, spine decorated in the same style, scarlet red morocco linings, brocaded silk endpapers with a bronze-coloured finish, double endpapers, edges gilt on endpapers, cover, slipcase (Marius Michel). First edition.
It is illustrated with a photogravure portrait of the author, a frontispiece by Félicien Rops, a header and a footer.
A unique print run of 250 numbered copies on Japanese paper (in addition to a single copy on parchment); this copy includes the frontispiece by Félicien Rops in three states (bister, blue and red chalk).
A magnificent copy, impeccably bound by Marius Michel.
