MICHAUX (Henri). *Meidosems*. Paris, Les Éditions du Point du Jour, 1948. Quarto, black half-maroquin with bands, plain spine with title set vertically, waxed head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved as a single piece, edged slipcase (J.-P. Miguet). First edition and first printing.
The first and finest of the books illustrated by Henri Michaux, featuring 12 original lithographs—the only ones the poet ever executed himself on stone—printed in white on a black background, including one double-page spread. The lithographs and the exquisite cover were printed by E. Desjoberts.
A print run of 271 numbered copies; this is one of the 250 on Johannot pure-fibre paper released for sale.
