Description
Clément MASSIER (1844–1917) in GOLFE JUAN. A truncated cone-shaped ceramic vase with a painted decoration depicting a Mediterranean coastline in shades of brown and burgundy on a yellow background. Signed ‘M.C.M.’ and marked ‘Golfe-Juan (A.M.)’ beneath the base. 1900. Height: 15 cm.
This vase was produced in 1900, as following the death of his wife and collaborator Mary that same year, he added his initial to his signature, which became “M.C.M.”.
