Description
Jacques and Jean ADNET (1900–1984) and (1900–1995) for La Maîtrise. A pair of ovoid vases with a shoulder resting on a foot, in polychrome ceramic, decorated with stylised flowers on a crackled gold and kiln-blue background, with simulated steps on the shoulder. Inscription in gold beneath the base: ‘La Maîtrise/modèle de J. Adnet’. Circa 1925. Height 26 cm. Two chips on one foot and slight loss of gilding on one neck.
A similar piece is held in the collections of the Musée des Années 30 in Boulogne-Billancourt.
