Arne JACOBSEN (1902–1971), for FRITZ HANSEN, manufacturer. Pair of ‘Fourmi’ chairs in thermoformed wood, resting on a tubular steel four-legged base. Label on each chair. Chip marks. 75 x 46 x 49 cm. Provenance: Furniture from a villa in Caluire-et-Cuire built in the late 1950s, where it has remained ever since. Acquired on 3 February 1966 from Lambert Beal, 13 rue de la République, Lyon. A copy of the original invoice will be provided to the purchaser.
