JEAN-PIERRE VINCENT (1926–1992) ARCHITECT, DESIGNER & PUBLISHER A rare floor lamp with adjustable height and tilt; the bulb cover is mounted on a bracket with a swivelling head. The base and cylindrical ball joints, the support leg, the upper section of the shaft, the arm and the conical lampshade hook are all made of brass. The lower section of the shaft and the bulb cover are made of black lacquered metal. The lampshade is painted white on the inside and features a hinged circular plate in white Perspex. JP VINCENT label. 1950s. Damage, oxidation, missing parts. Max. height 169 cm. Provenance: Furniture from a villa in Caluire-et-Cuire built in the late 1950s, where it has remained ever since.
