DELOY Georges (1856-1930) "Village en bord de canal" Oil on panel signed lower left, 33,5 x 45,5 cm, small crack lower left. From the painter's studio, family provenance. DELOY Georges (1956 - 1930) was a painter of the French school. Born in Paris, he became a pupil of Collin and developed a definite taste for seascapes. He exhibited several paintings on this subject at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which he was a member and which awarded him an honourable mention in 1914.
