JEAN DUNAND (1877–1942) ‘Stylised Medusa’ & ‘friezes of squares’ c. 1912 A rare and precious footed bowl serving as a ring holder; the bowl is deep and circular, with an inverted trumpet-shaped foot. A hammer-worked nickel silver piece. The decorative motifs in the centre of the bowl and around the rim are created using silver inlays on a patinated background. Signed ‘Jean DUNAND’ on the rim beneath the foot. H. 8.5 cm – D. 13 cm Oxidation on the inlaid silver sections; wear to the patina.
