Description
(Typography) – DEGAAST (Georges) and Georges FROT. The Graphic Arts. Technical Lectures on Book Production. Paris, published at the authors’ expense, 1934. In-4, [5 ff], 324 pp, [2 ff], illustrated cardboard binding by the publisher, lower cap torn off. Illustrated with numerous figures within the text and separate plates on various types of paper, some in relief and in Braille, one embossed plate, and a few in colour.

- DÉCEMBRE & ALONNIER. Typographers and Men of Letters. New edition enriched with illustrations and a glossary-index. Bassac, Plein Chant, 2002. Small 8vo, 478 pp, [1 f], paperback. The first edition of this work was published by Michel Lévy in 1864. This new edition, considerably expanded by a talented typesetter, features: an introduction; a very comprehensive and fascinating glossary, set in two columns, covering pages 367 to 467; and a large number of carefully selected portraits and vignettes, drawn from a first-rate personal collection. All these additions, and particularly the glossary, make this edition a new book. The print run has been limited to 500 copies.

A fundamental work illustrated with a vast number of figures, illustrations, models, typefaces, examples, etc.
- LHUILLIER (P.). The Typographer. Paris, Eyrolles, 1929. 8vo, half-basane, smooth spine decorated with four gilt fillets, cover preserved. Ex-libris. 184 pp., vignettes in the text.
- FOURNIER (Pierre-Simon). *Manuel typographique*. Followed by: *Fournier on Typefounding*, an English translation of the text by Harry Carter. In facsimile, with an introduction and notes by James Mosley. Paris, 1764–1768 and London, 1930 (Reprinted, 1995). 3 volumes in-12, [3 ff], XXXII, 323, [5 pp], 16 folding plates; [3 ff], 306 pp (including one folding leaf) and [3 ff], 49 pp, [1 f], XXXVII pp, [3 ff], 496 pp, in the publisher’s grey cloth, with a title label. This elegant reprint contains, in succession: the two volumes of Fournier’s *Manuel typographique* and the English translation published in 1930 under the title *Fournier on Typefounding*.
