In addition to a meticulous description of the 230 books produced by Simon de Colines’s press, the volume includes reproductions of two extremely rare catalogues from his printing house, a bibliography and an index. The introduction is a masterpiece of scholarship and elegance. This important collection is now held at Brigham Young University. It represents approximately one-third of Simon de Colines’ output. It was compiled with the aim of showcasing all aspects of the great typographer’s work throughout his long career.
