This book received an honourable mention in the competition organised by the Royal Academy of Inscriptions of the Institut on the subject: ‘to examine the status of the Jews in France, Spain and Italy, from the perspective of civil law, commerce and literature, from the beginning of the fifth century to the end of the sixteenth.’ ” Bound together with: - Letter [from Michel BERR, secretary of the Grand Sanhedrin of France and Italy convened in 1807] to the editor of the *Argus* concerning the work entitled: *Les Juifs d’Occident*.
