PEIGNOT (Gabriel). Letters to his friend N.-D. Baulmont... Collated and published by Émile Peignot, his grandson. Dijon, Lamarche and Brouelle, 1877. In-8, [2 ff], 259 pp, modern mustard-coloured half-cloth, cover preserved. First (and only) edition. It is illustrated with a lithographed facsimile (in Peignot’s handwriting) and a portrait of the author as a frontispiece. 143 letters and a few fragments of curiosities, mostly of a bibliographical nature. Included: - PEIGNOT (Gabriel). Unpublished letters from Gabriel Peignot to Dr Bourée, librarian of the town of Châtillon-sur-Seine. Dijon, Darantière, 1885. Small 8vo, 45, [1 p], [1 f], paperback. Stamp scraped off the title page. First edition printed in a run of 127 copies on various types of paper, 1/100 on Holland paper.
