Description
Modified flintlock percussion pistol made by SMITH (London) in the early 19th century. The ramrod is held to the weapon by a tilting ring on the principle of marine weapons. In excellent condition, uncluttered wooden stock with simple teardrop checkering. The hammer, lock, thunder and bolt are carefully engraved with fine floral motifs. Octagonal barrel. 35 cm long, 22 cm barrel, 16 mm muzzle diameter. A very fine British gun for the discerning collector, functional, complete and free of oxidation.
