Naval officer's Basque pistol, bronze barrel, flintlock, simple swan neck hammer (first half of the 18th century).
The shape of the barrel is reminiscent of a naval gun.
Total length 19 cm, including 8.8 cm of barrel.
Diameter 10 mm.
Dark walnut wood engraved with acanthus leaves around the thunderbolt.
Single steel cap.
Carved trigger guard with reductions and scrolls carefully inlaid in the wood.
Note: wear from rubbing on the outside of the trigger guard.
Perfectly functional lock for cocking and half cocking, clean and crisp.
