Frankfurt am Main, Verduren frères, 1767. 2 vols. in-8, bound in marbled fawn sheepskin, decorated ribbed spine, red marbled title label and volume number in the form of a red coat of arms on a green background. The text is set within an attractive Baroque frame on every page. - Collection of complaints, remonstrances, letters, judgements, decrees and protests from the Parliaments, Courts of Aides, Chamber of Accounts, Bailiwicks, Presidial Courts and elections concerning the edict of December 1770. A comprehensive and significant collection of documents published in Paris and the provinces following the Edict of December 1770, with a historical summary of the main events relating to the abolition of the Parliament of Paris and all the parliaments of the kingdom.
