[LARREY (Isaac de)]. The History of Eleanor of Guyenne, Duchess of Aquitaine. London, (Paris), Cussac, 1788. 8vo, xvi, 466 pp., [1] p. (errata), green half-chag, title gilt on spine. A historical biography of Eleanor of Aquitaine, illustrated with 3 separate plates by Antoine Borel (1743–1810). Provenance: the writer and poet François-Jean-Luc-Jules, Viscount of Gères-Vacquey (born in 1817 in Caudéran and died in 1878 in Rions), provenance attested by his wet stamp affixed in the margin of several pages and his gold-stamped initials at the bottom of the spine. Water stain on the frontispiece, other minor defects. Also included: [PELLISSON-FONTANIER (Paul)]. Relation contenant l'histoire de l'Académie Françoise. Paris, A. Courbé, 1671. In-12, 254 pp., marbled fawn sheepskin, decorated ribbed spine (contemporary binding). Provenance: Marie Caroline Ferdinande Louise de Bourbon, Princess of the Two Sicilies, better known by her title of Duchess of Berry (1798–1870); provenance attested by her ex-libris, bearing a coat of arms and engraved, pasted to the reverse of the front cover, for the library of the Château de Rosny.
