Ramón Folch de Cardona-Anglesola, Count of Albento and Duke of Soma (born in Bellpuig, province of Lleida in 1467 and died in Naples in 1522) was a Catalan officer and sailor who served as viceroy of Sicily and then grand admiral and viceroy of Naples (1510-1522). He married Isabelle de Requesens, who became viceroy of Naples: we still have a famous portrait of her by Raphael (or Giulio Romano?) (Paris, Musée du Louvre). On his death, the remains of Ramón Folch de Cardona-Anglesola were taken to his home town of Bellpuig and placed in a marble mausoleum designed by the Italian sculptor Giovanni da Nola. This building is still one of the most imposing in Spain.
