Beautiful edition of Theocritus' Idylls in the translation by Emile Chambry, including a relief cover and 38 bistre illustrations in the text and on the full page, wood-engraved by Théo Schmied after drawings by Henri LAURENS (1885-1954). Limited edition of 220 numbered copies on Arches laid paper, signed by the artist at the justification. This is one of 170 numbered from 31 to 200. A very well preserved copy.
