VERAMINE RUG Cotton warp and weft, wool pile. This carpet features the mina khani pattern, consisting of large, rounded flowers resembling daisies linked by stems, set against a navy blue background. This pattern is probably a Kurdish interpretation of the herati motif. A red border featuring a garland of flowers is framed by four counter-borders. Central Persia, circa 1940–1970. 348 x 228 cm. Slight wear and fraying.
