Ottoman Turkey, Iznik, c. 1600–1610 Small dish in siliceous ceramic with polychrome underglaze decoration. Central composition featuring four flowers and a two-coloured ‘saz’ palm motif. Border of stylised black waves and rocks. Beautiful glossy glaze, slightly discoloured in places; small chips to the rim; one chip on the reverse; slight crazing; one suspension hole at the foot.
