BALUSTER LAMP, formerly an oil lamp – circa 1860–1880, made of crackled celadon Chinese porcelain with a polychrome and gold decoration of birds and flowers, and bas-relief mascarons of dogs holding movable rings, the European gilded bronze mount features openwork decoration of foliage and clouds. Subsequently fitted with an electric light source Height excluding electrical fittings: 44.5 cm (signs of wear and oxidation to the gilding)
