First edition, illustrated with 11 heliogravure prints by Man Ray and Dora Maar, including a frontispiece, 6 full-page plates and 4 in-text plates. A single print run of 550 numbered copies on cream paper. *Le Temps déborde* is a collection of poems, published shortly after the sudden death of Nusch, Paul Éluard’s partner. Man Ray and Dora Maar, who had both photographed Nusch Éluard during her lifetime, transformed this collection into a tribute to the poet’s partner.
