HUGNET (Georges). *La Chevelure*. [Paris], Sagesse, 1937. Square 8vo, paperback, untrimmed, gilt cover decorated with an original collage by the author. First edition featuring a frontispiece by Yves Tanguy. One of the 35 first-edition copies printed on Arches laid paper, signed by the author and the artist on the half-title page. Self-taught, Yves Tanguy (1900–1955) abandoned a career in the navy to join the Surrealist group, of which he became one of the most iconic painters. Cover stained, foxing spots.
