Description
IVSIC (Radovan) and TOYEN. *Les Puits dans la tour*. *Débris de rêves*. A series of twelve drypoint engravings. Paris, Éditions Surréalistes, 1967. Large quarto, in sheets, untrimmed, in a slipcase designed by Toyen. First edition illustrated with 12 original drypoint engravings, all signed by Toyen. Printed in a run of 89 copies, each signed by the author on Auvergne paper from the Moulin Richard de Bas. The slipcase, designed by Toyen, features a geometric pattern depicting a woman’s body both right side up and upside down, and has perforations designed to hold small marbles; the whole is housed beneath a Plexiglas window signed by Toyen. Enclosed is a photograph by Radovan Ivsic depicting Jean Benoît’s *Le Nécrophile*.
