[LOUŸS (Pierre)]. Deux gousses. Unpublished fragment. Copied by Louis Perceau from the author’s own manuscript, officially provided by a bookseller on 3 July 1928. 11 stapled in-4 pages. Published clandestinely in 1928, three years after Pierre Louÿs’s death, *Deux gousses* forms part of his cycle of posthumous erotic writings, long confined to a select circle of bibliophiles.
The work exemplifies the libertine vein of the author of *Chansons de Bilitis*, in which the elegance of the style rivals the audacity of the subject matter.
