In-12, paperback, untrimmed, in a large in-4 slipcase forming a multi-panel picture cut from wood and painted using a stencil (Tovar). First edition of this erotic coming-of-age novel, linked to Surrealism, illustrated by Ivan Tovar. One of 99 copies bound in pure-thread Lana Royal (no. 9), incorporated into a book-object containing a suite of seven etchings by Ivan Tovar on Rives vellum. Each etching is numbered and signed in pencil by the illustrator. The book and the series of etchings are housed in a slipcase forming a multiple artwork by Tovar, cut from wood and stencil-painted by the Atelier Jacomet, signed and authenticated by the artist. Also included: PIERRE (José). What is Thérèse? It is the chestnut trees in bloom. Paris, Le Soleil Noir (Club Series), 1974. In-12, paperback, in the publisher’s black cardboard slipcase, closed with a wire secured by a lead seal. One of 300 copies numbered on pure Lana Royal paper, including an original etching by Konrad Klapheck, printed on Arches vellum, numbered and signed by the artist. Copy in mint condition, lead seal intact.
