Very imposing overmantel mirror in moulded and carved oak with white lacquer and gilding. The frame is richly carved with foliage, acanthus leaves and laurel friezes and is topped by a pediment with a knotted ribbon holding two garlands of flowers and an oval trompe l'oeil window. The rectangular mirror is edged with a frieze of pearls (a few stains on the sheen). Louis XVI period - Late 18th century Height: 243 cm - Width: 164 cm (some cracks and minor wear to the paint)
