Paris, Jean, rue Saint Jean de Bauvais. ca. 1765 (republication of a text originally published in 1667).
Late reprint of a classic of artistic anatomy, attributed to François Tortebat and based on the work of Roger de Piles. The work, designed for the training of painters and sculptors, features a series of plates engraved "in the pencil style" by T. Le Clerc and engraved by Petit, providing a clear understanding of the proportions and structure of the human body. First published in the XVIIᵉ century, this treatise served as an enduring reference for academic workshops.
