Charles Méryon (1821–1868) The Ministry of the Navy. 1865. Etching. 145 × 168 mm. Delteil 45; Schneiderman 94. A very fine print on cream laid paper, from the 6th state (out of 7), with the single monogram and prior to the letter, with the cut marks across the portico on the right, printed slightly askew. Soft oblique folds along the right-hand edge. Two pieces of gummed paper at the top of the reverse. Good margins (reduced to 234 x 330 mm). Expert: Hélène BONAFOUS-MURAT.
