Kitagawa Utamaro (1753–1806). Woodblock print depicting two women (one of whom is holding a parasol) accompanied by a teenage girl carrying a baby on her back. Printed during the Meiji period (1868–1912). Dimensions: 29 × 23.2 cm. Very pronounced central crease and other smaller, less noticeable creases. Soiling. Stains in the upper part. No visible margins. Framed. Enclosed are two prints from the ‘Joshoku kaiko tewasa -gusa’ (Silk Work) series in Oban format. Dimensions: 37 × 24.2 cm and 38 × 25.5 cm. From the collection of J.J.
