Description
Set of 2 Skylab 2 ‘SL-3’ envelopes (Garriott, Lousma Bean). The first was stamped and cancelled on the day of launch (28 July 1973) and bears the serial number 000009. 9 x 16.5 cm.
The second envelope relates to the Skylab SL-4 mission; it was stamped and cancelled on the day of the 7-hour spacewalk by astronauts Carr and Pogue, on 25 December 1973. 9 x 16.5 cm.
SKYLAB MISSIONS – Skylab, the first American orbital station, launched on 14 May 1973 as Skylab 1-SL-1. It disintegrated on 11 July 1979.
