The patterns formed by the cooler fresh water flowing from small streams into the heavier, warmer water of the River James can be seen. Aerial photograph taken at high altitude (mission no. 207) for NASA’s Earth Observation Division at the Manned Spacecraft Centre (Houston, Texas).
