Reconditioned in the 2000s, this Willys MB retains many original parts, including all its bodywork components, its unconditional "Go Devil" type engine with its peripherals, Carter Usa carburettor, US air filter, Sparton type horn, grease trap and grease pump supports, oil can, petrol filter with its instruction label still legible...
The original chassis plate is still present, albeit slightly damaged. The electrical system, as produced, remains at 6 volts. The tyres are Goodyear Usa mounted on original combat rims. An expansion tank, an original accessory, has been fitted to the cooling system.
The nameplates and instruction plates on the glovebox, corresponding to the Jeep's identity, are original reproductions.
The upholstery and tarpaulin are USA quality remanufactures. The on-board kit, shovel and US axe are present, as is the petrol jerry can. A rare M2 "Apparatus" de-contaminator in quality reproduction is fitted to the wing, adding to the Jeep's "combat" appearance. An MP-50 support and an MP-48 radio aerial are fitted to the body, together with a model A-62 phantom-type signal-body aerial, all protected by a BG-108 waxed canvas cover.
Now hard to find because it's highly collectible, this Willys MB Jeep remains a sound investment in terms of both collecting and enjoyment.
