LARGE EGYPTIAN RED STONE SCARAB. New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A red stone scarab with a domed back and a semi-circular head beneath a serrated clypeus, the prothorax separated from the wing cases, which are divided by an incised longitudinal line, with the legs cut at the sides. The underside is flat and plain.
