Description
EGYPTIAN BRONZE FIGURINE OF ISIS LACTANS.
Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC.
A bronze figurine of Isis Lactans seated with the feet on a rectangular base and a tenon below for insertion, holding the infant Horus across her lap and suckling him. The goddess wears a close-fitting sheath dress, a tripartite wig, and a headdress with a sun disc set between cow horns.

Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier with F.A. in Brussels; originating from a Belgian collection formed circa 1970s–1990s.
