EGYPTIAN BRONZE FIGURINE OF HARPOCRATES. Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC. A bronze figurine of Harpokrates seated nude with the feet on a rectangular base. The youthful god is depicted with the right hand resting at the left shoulder and the left arm lowered at his side. He wears a nemes headdress with the sidelock of youth, surmounted by a hemhem crown formed of three atef crowns flanked by uraei and set on ram's horns. Size: 225mm x 65mm; Weight: 730g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier with F.A. in Brussels; originating from a Belgian collection formed circa 1970s–1990s. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
