EGYPTIAN WOOD FEMALE SWIMMER COSMETIC SPOON. New Kingdom, ca. 1388 - 1349 BC. A wood cosmetic spoon carved as a nude swimming woman, her elongated body forming the handle and her arms extended forward to support a duck-shaped bowl. She wears a striated wig and a broad collar necklace. The face is carved with large almond-shaped eyes, arched brows, a straight nose, and a small mouth.
